A/Prof. Ernan Hession

Graduate of Trinity College Dublin, BA BAO BCH MB(DUB) in 1983

Dr Hession has been a country GP in Swan Hill for over 32 years

Post Graduate qualifications: DCH, DOBS, FRACGP, FACRRM

GP Obstetrician for 25 years with over one thousand deliveries, as well as a GP Generalist.

Dr Hession has been a VMO at SHDH since 1989.

He has a keen interest in Medical Education, for 25 years Dr Hession has been a Clinical Supervisor/Director of Medical Educator at SHDH.

Dr Hession is also a  Senior Lecturer in GP at Monash University, and has recently been appointed as Head of Rural Clinical School at Charles Sturt University and awarded an Associate Professorship in Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr Hession has a keen interest in Military history and was a captain in the Australian Army Reserve and has also completed treks to Base Camp Mount Everest Kokoda and the Overland Track.

Dr. Svitlana Kelada

Dr Svitlana Kelada graduated from Donetsk State Medical University, Ukraine, in 1988.

Her area of Specialisation was General Ophthalmology and microsurgery.

She  has worked with Swan Hill District Health since 2006. She has been VMO for the last 10 years.

Dr Kelada has been working in the General Practice setting since 2009. Her fellowship of RACGP was obtained in 2015. Dr Kelada is a highly motivated and dedicated GP with a wealth of experience in caring for patients from a range of cultural backgrounds and clinical settings.  Dr Kelada has specific interests in women’s health, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic medical conditions and all other aspects of General Practice.

Dr Kelada established the Skin Cancer Clinic at Swan Hill Primary Health Medical Centre in 2016 to allow her to fulfil her vision of a patient centred service with a strong focus on technology and ongoing care.

Dr Andreas Hendarto

Dr Hendarto graduated from Melbourne University in 2017 and previously worked with his wife and colleague Dr Punyapati in East Gippsland, Tasmania and Mildura, where he recently trained in anaesthetics.

He also holds a Dip.Obs (RANZCOG) and Dip.Paeds (Ireland).

Dr Hendarto will be consulting Wednesday and Thursday.

Dr Eissara Punyapati

Dr Punyapati graduated from Monash University in 2018 and has previously worked with her husband and colleague Dr Hendarto in East Gippsland,

Tasmania and Mildura, where she recently trained in obstetrics and gynaecology to obtain a Dip.Obs (RANZCOG – Advanced).

Dr. Reshma Banskota

Dr Banskota is available for consults Monday – Friday and on the occasional weekend.

Dr Banskota has interests in pediatrics, womens health, chronic disease management and mental health.

Dr. Zeest Naveed

Dr Zeest is available for consults Monday – Friday and on the occasional weekend.

Services a monthly Outreach clinic in Manangatang. (Appointments to be booked with the Manangatang Hospital) .

Dr Zeest has a certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, Certificate in Anaesthetic Medicine and has completed Rural Focused Psychological Strategies and Skills training.

Dr Zeest’s special interests are women health, antenatal, pediatrics, chronic disease, mental health and obesity/weight reduction.

Dr. Manzoor Elahi

Available for consults Monday to Friday.

Dr Elahi was born and raised in Pakistan . He moved to South Africa in 1991 and worked in a number of hospitals including Sebokeng Hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath and Johannesburg General Hospital before moving to Australia in 2001 . Upon arrival, Dr Elahi worked in Rockhampton and Noosa before eventually moving to Swan Hill in 2002.

Dr Elahi has special interests in general medicine, anesthesia, dermatology, skin cancer, women’s health and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Keith Kiew

Dr Kiew joined Swan Hill District Health in 2019, his main focus area is in Sub Acute, providing medical care for people who require rehabilitation and also providing geriatrician services to our aged patients .

Dr Kiew also provides an outpatient clinic at the Primary Health Medical Centre and to surrounding areas.

If you are over 65 years and require a specialist opinion for your health related issues, a referral from your GP  will be required.

Dr Tahira Saeed

Dr Tahira completed her MBBS from Pakistan.

After two years of hospital training at Swan Hill District Health, Tahira joined the Swan Hill Primary Health Medical Clinic, she enjoys working with the amazing team.

Dr Tahira is interested all aspects of General Practice with a particular interest in Chronic Disease management, Preventative Health and Women’s Health.

Dr Fungai joined Swan Hill Primary Health Medical Centre in February 2023, who is an experience general practitioner who strives to provide compassionate care to her clients and enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Vasu Iyenger

Fellow of the RCOG UK, RANZCOG Australia  and an associate Fellow of the RACMA .

Dr Vasu studied her masters at La Trobe University in Melbourne .

Dr Vasu is a strong advocate for women’s healthcare options and services . She thoroughly enjoys the practice of generalist Obstetrics and Gynecology in regional clinical services and tries to push available rural services capacity to the most achievable levels.

Dr Vasu feels privileged to be able to contribute to Swan Hill District Health and our wonderful communities.

Dr Babatunder Osunneye

Dr Tunde joined the Swan Hill District Health in 2021. Vastly experienced in Emergency Medicine.

Dr Tunde joined the Swan Hill Primary Health Medical in 2023 and enjoys the broad range of medicine that General Practice offers and has special interests in

General Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Minor Surgical procedures.

Dr Ellis has special interests in high risk obstetrics, gynecology, ultrasound, fertility, complex endometriosis, colonoscopy,  pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive hysterectomy.

Monthly outreach visiting service and telehealth that supports oncology led services.

Bookings are made at Bendigo Health Cancer Centre.

Dr Warren graduated from the University of Melbourne and performed basic physician training through the Austin Repatriation Hospital . Dr Warren’s oncology training was conducted through Albury Hospital,  Box Hill Hospital and the Alfred Hospital. Subsequently, he completed a 12 month fellowship at the cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Canada . Dr Warren has been working at Bendigo Health since 2008. Dr Warren interest areas are genitourinary oncology and thoracic oncology.

Dr Warren currently practices at the Bendigo Health Oncology Unit and conducts fortnightly visit’s to Kerang District Health.

Dr Campbell has been working in Bendigo Health since the start of 2018. He completed undergraduate training  at Monash University and undertook physician training at the Austin and Northern Hospitals.

Dr Campbell grew up in Bendigo and is passionate about people getting access to treatment close to home wherever possible . He has a special interest in solid organ malignancies, treating Lymphoma and participating in shared care of Myeloma patients .

Mr Justin Hargraves

Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Mr Hargraves works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and specializes in administering chemotherapy toxicity management with a keen interest in Breast Cancer survivorship,  Oral chemotherapy, and supportive care. Mr Hargraves also has a keen interest in central venous access device management and is an experienced PICC line inserter.
