Day Procedure Unit

The day surgery concept allows the public to have access to high quality care, whilst causing minimal disruption to their daily working lives. The ability to provide such care on a daily basis has evolved due to improved surgical techniques and the evolution of new drugs for anaesthesia and analgesia.

The Day Procedure Unit has recently been expanded to cater for 8 trolleys and 2 recliners. The newly refurbished unit carried out 1582 procedures last year.
