WorkHealth checks


Swan Hill District Health are local endorsed providers of the statewide WorkHealth Initiative. To request Swan Hill District Health for your WorkHealth check provision please use the identification number 1028.

WorkHealth checks are convenient, easy and confidential health assessments conducted in your workplace. Each check takes around 15 mins and participants receive immediate feedback and advice based on their results.

The benefits
WorkHealth checks provide workers with the opportunity to have quick, convenient and confidential health check at their workplace.

The benefits for workers include:
A chance to learn more about your health
An increased awareness of your risk of preventable diseases such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes
Encouraging, positive ways to reduce risk factors and maintain good health
An opportunity to implement healthy eating and exercise programs at work


The benefits for employers include:
Improved productivity
Improved staff morale
Reduced absenteeism
Reduced presenteeism (remaining at work when unwell)
Reduced staff turnover
Reduced workplace injuries, and
Improved corporate image

Applying for WorkHealth checks is simple

To apply you will need to provide the following information:

Your organisation’s annual remuneration
Your organisation’s WorkSafe Injury Insurance Number
The total number of employees in the business
The total number of employees at each workplace

You can apply by completing the attached application form, click here, or by completing the form online at the WorkHealth website. Please note that you can request Swan Hill District Health to be your endorsed service provider by using our identification number 1028 on your application, see section 4 of the application form.

Your organisation will be reimbursed

Employers will need to pay the endorsed service provider for each WorkHealth check delivered, and will subsequently receive reimbursement from WorkSafe Victoria.

Organisations with an annual remuneration of less than $10m will receive full reimbursement for the cost of the checks, meaning they are free.

Organisations with an annual remuneration of over $10m will be charged $45 for each WorkHealth check. Worksafe will reimburse $30 towards the cost of each, meaning the ultimate cost to your organisation will be $15 per WorkHealth check.
