Swan Hill Primary Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. We bulk bill Health Care cards, Pension cards, DVA card holders and Children aged 16 and under.
Consultation fees where applicable are due on the day of your visit and can be paid in cash, by cheque or by EFTpos. Online Medicare claiming is available.
Consultation fees will be charged at the discretion of the treating doctor with the following fee schedule:

If your doctor refers you to another doctor, specialist, or for any investigative tests please ask about fees and other costs that may arise.
Minor Surgery Fees
Procedures including skin cancer management, removal of skin lesions, biopsies, suturing of cuts etc will attract a treatment room fee. Fees for these procedures vary, please discuss and confirm fees payable for your procedure with your doctor during your initial consultation.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your appointment time. A $50 fee will be charged for failure to attend or provide cancellation with less than 2 hours’ notice. (This fee is not Medicare rebatable)
Longer Appointments and Fees
Insurance medicals, pre-employment medicals, forms for third party reasons- eg Social Security reviews, WorkCover reports, Medico legal reports are not Medicare billable items.
Our fees for these are as follows:

All patients are expected to settle their accounts on the day of consult. We accept cash or credit card for the gap payment or we have Tyro- where the whole amount is paid and the Medicare benefit is immediately deposited back into the patient’s account.
