Kapel Telkuna (Aboriginal Health Unit)

Kapel Telkuna name meaning: ‘Kapel’ means River and ‘Telkuna’ means to cure or heal. The name reflects the deep connection between our communities linked by the River. We all travel from community to community for medical treatment so Kapel Telkuna perfectly expresses the idea that: ‘Through water we heal.’

Our Aboriginal Service provides:

• Assistance and improve access, availability of health services for the Aboriginal community. 
• Information, programs and resources so informed decisions can be made concerning treatment, prevention and rehabilitation services.
